4th minivan - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan
By Hemi - June 22 - 10:00 amBy far the best we have owned. Chrysler finaly hit the home run with the stow and go seating. We liked our Pontiac Montana but the intake manifold gaskets started leaking radiator fluid into the engine at 62,000 miles and so it was time to consider another van or very costly repairs and we returned to Dodge for the third time. S0, the SXT looks like we are in for some fun from everything from the seating to the power liftgate and the 3.8 engine. Go for it!

A great family car - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan
By Nick H - June 22 - 10:00 amThis is a great family car. We had it for about a week and I cant believe how perfect it fits into our lifestyle. With all the storage and room inside we can fit our kids and there toys as well as go grocery shopping and still have enough room for anything else. Definitely suggest getting the SXT model with the DVD player because the kids have never been so quiet on a trip. It also feels like your driving a luxury sedan its so smooth to drive and the outside noise is virtually eliminated. Great family car.

In 2005, the ONLY Minivan to consider! - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan
By Coachleif - June 12 - 11:13 amJust ended 6000 miles through the western mountains and desert carrying 4 Adults, 3 kids, and a rooftop carrier with 110# of camping stuff. Total load 1250#. 1 tank @ 17 mpg in San Fransisco, all others range from 19 to 25.2 mpg. Thats real world driving at 75 - 85 mph with the A/C on the whole time. Friends with Honda and Toyota minivans cant touch this mileage under similar conditions! Im very happy as gas was $3.50/gal in Needles! Perfect design. 1st 4 seats provide absolute comfort for adults up to 6 1" 250#! In mountain driving, 8 consecutive switchbacks in Silverton-Ouray region were a dream. With this load, it accelerated up 8% grades easily to 75mph. It has a great feel, not Honda harsh. Has the best price, features, economy, and handling in its class! Very solidly built. Great fit and finish and material use. Buy it!

Love my van - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan
By vallie_girl - June 4 - 5:36 pmThis van drives much like a car. It has a fluidity in movement with an excellent turn radius. Problems have all been minor. We had a plastic piece come off one of the windows, had to replace brakes both front and back. But overall an amazing deal.

By Frodo - December 22 - 10:00 amYou wont believe how smooth a ride this van has! It has a HUGE interior room that is versatile and easy to care for. It can handle the scratches from dogs, and hauls tons of stuff. It gets suprisingly great gas milage, even in the city. It is DRIVER FOCUSED; the control panels are directed more toward the driver, making it easier to reach all the controls and keep driving the vehicle your first priority. The sound system is great; and having separate heating and cooling for drivers and passengers front and back is wonderful. The filter is priceless! My child is an asthmatic, and this filter has been the difference from discomfort to absolute pleasure.

By Peter KY1. - November 15 - 10:00 amFrom the first Caravan I purchased the quality and comfort have only improved. My hat is off for the 2005 Grand SXT! Comfortalbe, easy to fold down seating, engine and interior quality has finally put it into the Toyota class. And in my mind better. I have tested the Toyota, Nisson and Honda, they do not stack up to the SXT! While this is a new design, in my mind it holds up to its top compettitors. Buy it you will like it.

Very Satisfied - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan
By James Joy - August 31 - 4:26 amHave had the van about 2 years. Bought it because of the Stow and Go and large rebate. Was much better value, feature for feature, than any of the imports. Have been very happy with the vehicle. It has only been to the dealership twice in 2 years. Once was for 2 minor recalls and the other was to replace the power liftgate motor. We love the Stow and Go, the power, quiet and comfort. The power doors and liftgate were a godsend to my wife when she was pregnant and carrying around a toddler. My only complaints are minor and include excessive brake dust and inconvenient parking brake release. Gas mileage is fair around town (17-18) and decent on the highway (24-25).

Great purchase - 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan
By BRobertson - July 20 - 12:16 amAfter driving a 1999 Grand Caravan to death I decided to purchase a 2005 as soon as I saw that I no longer had to remove the seats. I find that the comfort of driving the Caravan is much more comfortable than most minivans...I rented most makes before purchasing my 99. The added features of automatic rear door and side door opening is wonderful, especially on rainy days. I enjoy the six play cd/dvd player and it kept my grandson entertained the entire week his family visited over Thanksgiving. If you havent given it a try...do so, you wont be disappointed.
